‘…and love each other.’
There was something about her. Everything about her. Just within the likes of such wonderfully admirable, inspirational women through time and now that of course, still inspire me; Mother Theresa, Asiya (wife of the Pharaoh), Aisha (wife of Prophet Mohammad-pbuh), Maya Angelou, Oprah Winfrey, Sheikh Hasina, Malala Yousafzai, Michelle Obama, Emma Watson, Angelina Jolie, Yasmin Mogahed, Dalia Mogahed and of course our mothers, our grandmothers, our sisters, our good friends, aunts and cousins and the many women that are not known by others today but we know that inspire us also. They’re everywhere and yet they don’t have to be celebrities or well known themselves. They still inspire us immensely. They’re all beautiful of course, and they should not be forgotten..Xx
Though…there was something about her in particular. For many men and women and girls and boys, her influential, admirable ways still ripples through to this present day…to this day, her story still inspires.
Though if not aware of her, of course her story can be re-written and talked about. I just want to summarise these words that simply described her; serene, gentle, courageous, patient, pure, selfless, wise, a true hero during the age of ignorance.
Khadija, daughter of Khuwaylid, First wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). One of my true sources of inspiration. I admire her. There was something about her. Everything about her. She got to me. ..x
