A blessing in disguise

“Verily, with hardship, there is ease.” – Q, 94:5-6

As I write, whilst the world is going through this pandemic period in time, with the lockdowns, the shut offs and so on…this ‘stay home’ period; a time for safety, for literal home time, for reflection time, for family time, for alone time, for growth, for continuous learning, for cleaning and cleansing (literally and figuratively) and so on, however whomsoever may comprehend with it…one thing is certain, is that we are all to stay home.

In the meantime, people have already lost close ones, some are losing their jobs, retired doctors are to come back and help out in already overflowing hospitals with those caught with the virus and more, some were made redundant from their current jobs, others left with further loneliness in their homes, and others in even worse conditions even before the outbreak had started. Whilst the virus is spreading rapidly in certain regions more than others, it’s still prevalent, it’s still evidently out there, yet, this is another on-going story to be continued…as I write. What are we to do? How are we to move forward? What happens next…? …

With all that said, there is one thing I can take from this period, is that in moments of solitude, of isolation, a moment with oneself, there is further, deep growth in it all. All this is a blessing in disguise. Surely, everything happens for a reason. In these moments, I have learnt more about myself than meets the eye…and that shall continue…God-willing of course.

I continue…

“A relaxing, peaceful time – moment at home is one of life’s greatest pleasures.”
